The Heil PR 40 is a product designed by Bob Heil, President and founder
of Heil Sound, Ltd. at the invitation of his long time friend and ham buddy,
Joe Walsh. Heil also developed the Heil 'Talk Box', an

to be brought into prominence by Peter Frampton. Joe asked

PR 40 uses a very unique copper wound voice coil with a neodymium magnet
structure which creates a magnetic field ten times stronger than the traditional
magnets of other microphones. Coupling to a low mass quilted aluminum diaphragm

The
PR-35 
Professional Dynamic
Cardioid Studio Microphone
The PR 35 features
the large-diameter, high-clarity element from the PR 30 mic so popular in the
live sound world.
Making the PR 35 particularly attractive for use in Amateur transmitters, though,
is its three-position low-end roll-off switch, which allows the operator to set
the low-end roll-off point at 40 Hz (off), 60 Hz, or 120 Hz. Thus the operator
can tweak the bass response for best results on the air.
The PR 35 enclosure includes a soft-touch outer coating that will stay looking

Heil Fin 
Heil Sound is pleased to introduce the Fin, exhibiting a
remarkable, natural, clear sound and designed especially for live sound,
recording and broadcast applications. The exceptional performance is achieved by
the use of a special magnet structure with a large 1 1/18" aluminum low
mass voice coil assembly similar to the Heil PR 20. The frequency response is 60
Hz - 18kHz with that traditional Heil Sound mid range 'bouquet' at 4kHz, which
presents incredible brilliance and presence. The Fin exhibits a tight linear
cardioid pattern. The chrome finish is a special 'showchrome' where the steel
body is copper plated and then double chrome plated producing a deep chrome
finish. A blue molded internal foam windscreen inside the grill covers the large
diameter Heil dynamic microphone element mounted in a specially tooled
Sorbothane © shock mount.
The fun part of the new Heil Fin is the four blue L.E.D. lamps
mounted inside. These can only be illuminated when using the FIN into one of the
3 pin balanced XLR inputs of a professional mixing console that supplies a + 48
volt d.c. phantom voltage down the balanced mic line. A small slide switch on
the bottom of the Heil FIN must be switched to 'ON'.
Standard 5/8" – 27 microphone stand threads allow the
'Fin' to be mounted on booms or floor stands.
The Fin is terrific for vocals, instrument amplifiers,
harmonica, and speech, and puts the fun back into the dynamic microphone.
The microphone audio will also work into an unbalanced low
impedance inputs used on amateur radio, communications audio or simple public
announcement systems. None of these will have the proper voltage to illuminate
the lamps but the microphone will work perfectly. Should you want to illuminate
the lamps when used for amateur radio, etc. the FIN can be used into one of the
balanced inputs of a small Behringer UB 802 (or similar) mixer or the 3 pin XLR
balanced of a W2IHY 8 band equalizer, of course with their phantom power
activated.

As a part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the amateur radio division at Heil Sound, Ltd. Bob Heil introduces yet another unique product that will answer the audio problems for early ICOM transceiver owners. After a year of studying the mic preamps and working closely with ICOM AMERICA Heil introduces their 'iCM' microphone- not the inexpensive electrets so common today, but a high performance electret with very high output to drive the low gain front ends of the early ICOM and exhibiting wide frequency range
The 'iCM' contains the new 'Heil 'iC' element in a beautiful new platinum finish body perfect for hand held use or mounting on a desk stand or microphone boom. It is supplied with a universal mic clip that will interface with a variety of stands and booms.
The 'iCM' comes complete with an self attached 5' length of the 'Heilwire' cable and terminates in the familiar 8 pin Foster connector wired to mate with all early 8 pin ICOM front ends. AD-100 Adapter for the
Yaesu FT 100
The
Yaesu FT 100 multiplexes the PTT, Mic audio, touch tone signals and control data
onto one single line making it impossible to use anything other than the stock
microphone with this great radio. The Heil AD-100 has been developed so all Heil
dynamic microphones and headsets can be used with the Yaesu FT 100. SO to use
the Goldline on the Yaesu FT 100 you will need the AD-100 and the CC-1. To use
the PROSet or BM-10 you will use the AD-100 and an AD-1Y. Can also be used with
the HMM-Y hand mike.

FS-2 Dual Foot-switch
The Heil model FS-2 Dual Footswitch is an ergonomically correct device with the hinge being UNDER your heel instead of away from your foot as with all other footswitches. This requires much less effort and relaxes the leg muscles during long periods of operation such as contest and DxPedition operations. The hinge is a solid bar running the compete width of the footswitch assembly thus eliminating screws or fasteners that may work loose. The FS-2 is designed for maximum comfort and reliability. The Heil Dual Footswitch is a unique product specifically designed for controlling TWO devices simultaneously. Two 10 amp micro-switches are mounted so that the one feeding the RED lead turns on first and the BLACK lead turns on last. A typical application would be to key a transceiver with the BLACK lead and an RF power amplifier with the RED lead. This unique Heil footswitch eliminates any active interface problems between transceivers and RF amplifiers.The BLACK lead is terminated in a ¼" male phone plug that connects into the PTT line of the Heil CC-1 microphone cable system. The RED lead comes to you with an RCA male adapter which mates with most keying inputs of RF amplifiers in use today.
