Solves RFI and Audio Distortion Problems when using 3 pin Balanced PRO series microphones.
It has come to Heil's attention that many users of the FT 950 Yaesu transceivers have been experiencing RFI and Audio distortion. In some cases, this also occurs in the FT 2000, 5000 and 9000 (occasionally 1000 Mark 5) using the CC-1 Y Connecting Cable.
Each of these transmitters have a balanced microphone circuit just like commercial broadcast and PRO audio gear but Yaesu mic connections unbalances that balanced input and does NOT ground the mic shield to the chassis. No question that you end up with a nice floating antenna called a microphone cable which, in some cases cause RFI and distortion when using 3 pin XLR balanced microphones.
To solve this, Heil has a new cable for ALL the above Yaesu models when using our PR series microphones that use three pin XLR connectors. NOT the four pin Goldline, HM-10 but the balanced 600 ohm PR 781, PR 20, PR 30, PR 31BW and PR 40, etc.
The new cable CC-1 XLR Y-BAL has an ORANGE cap on the 3 pin XLR and terminates in the standard round 8 pin Foster Connector with the ¼" PTT pig tail.
